Living a saved life does not have to be boring.

I am a born again christian, and as such, there is a certain amount of dignity that I have to maintain. I want Christ to be reflected in my life and I think that is a very important aspect of my life as well. People have referred to me as "Rev", "Bishop" and (not to toot my horn) "a man of the cloth", and it's very humbling. I don't take pride in it, but it does make me feel like I am at least trying. That being said, the life of a saved person can be very boring, Things of the flesh (anything outside the will of God) can be so much more fun than spiritual things. Music, movies, television, social websites and many other things are very enticing and can steer your view away from what God wants for you. To me, It's all about your level of conviction. I believe that if you are learning who you are in Christ (like all believers are) you you can put your limits on all the aforementioned things. You know what you have no business watching, and you know what types of music are against the Lord. In that same respect, there are masterpieces that I enjoy that are not even faith based. You as a human being have the right to be in the world, but not of the world. I believe that as long as you do not let it consume you, this world has so much to offer. Let it influence you, but don't let it compromise you. I see it as (in a way) somewhat of a requirement for inviting people into the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 9:22 (King James Version) says: To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made All things to all men, that I might by all means save some. Skateboarder kids are not going to be interested in any kinda spiritual thing unless someone is flipping an Ollie with a bible in their hand lol Jesus wants you to stay in his will, but does not want you to be a robot. And that also gets on my nerves. People who are so deep in Christ, they become super spiritual Christians. Everything was made by God, but everything ain't God. What I mean by that is that things like praying before you go somewhere or eat something is important, but not when you and i can't have a 30 minute conversation without you telling me that I need to repent because I say something is stupid. Now I'm not saying that it isn't good to be that deep in the Lord, but be yourself, too. I'm gonna be me. My relationship with the Lord is at that point where he can be the center of my life. And so should every other believer. But it does not have to be boring. Your being saved can actually be the reason you are fly.
